Organic Fair Allspice (40g)

Allspice is a staple to savoury Caribbean jerk seasonings and can be found in sausage, curry, and pickling preparations. The small fruits of the Allspice shrub are harvested when green and then traditionally dried in the sun to develop flavour. The result is a blend in taste and aroma of cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg, with just a slight peppery heat. More common to North American cuisine, allspice lends its unique flavour to sweet cakes, loaves, cookies and breads.

Grind fresh for best flavour.
