L-Arginine is a conditionally essential basic amino acid involved primarily in urea metabolism and excretion, as well as in DNA synthesis and protein production. It is an important precursor of Nitric Oxide (NO) and thus plays a role in the dilation of blood vessels.

INGREDIENTS:

L-Arginine 500 mg

Non-Medicinal Ingredients:

Capsule (gelatin, water), Magnesium Stearate (vegetable source), Silica.

Dosage:

Take 2 capsules 1-3 times daily as required, between meals or at bedtime with a carbohydrate drink to facilitate absorption. Do not use beyond 8 weeks.

CAUTIONS:

Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have human herpes virus, sickle cell anemia, are taking antihypertensives, cyclosporine, estrogens, birth control medications, medroxyprogesterone, norethindrone, nitrates, potassium-increasing drugs, sildenafil, xylitol, and/or aminophyllins. Do not use if you have had a myocardial infarction (heart attack), have gout, decreased platelet count, elevated blood-urea-nitrogen, serum creatine and creatinine, delayed menses, asthma, are pregnant or breastfeeding.
