Cascara Sagrada Bark (Rhamnus purshiana), which means "sacred bark", has a long history of use by traditional herbalists to promote bowel regularity.

INGREDIENTS:

Cascara Sagrada (Rhamnus purshiana) Aged Bark...450 mg

Non-Medicinal Ingredients:

Veg Capsule (hypromellose, water) and Stearic Acid (vegetable source).

Dosage:

Adult and Child ( > 12 yrs) Dosage: Take 2 capsules daily, with water or juice on an empty stomach. Allow 6 to 12 hours for laxative effect to occur. Do not use within 2 hours of another medicine. Do not use for more than 7 days.

CAUTIONS:

Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have a kidney disorder or are taking heart medications. Reduce dose or discontinue use if abdominal cramps, spasms, and/or pain occur. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist. Do not use if you have abdominal pain, nausea, fever, vomiting, hemorrhoids or if you have a chronic gastrointestinal disorder, are taking thiazide diuretics,corticosteroids, licorice root, or other drugs that may aggravate electrolyte imbalance, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
