Certified Organic Local Red Leaf Lettuce is harvested fresh from local farms in the Victoria, BC region — loose-leaf, with striking burgundy-tipped leaves, a tender texture, and a mild, slightly sweet flavour with just a hint of earthiness. The deep red colouring comes from anthocyanin pigments, giving red leaf a more visually dramatic presence than green leaf while remaining just as mild and versatile. Certified organic and non-GMO. Red leaf lettuce works beautifully in salads where its colour adds visual contrast alongside other greens, vegetables, and toppings. Its large, ruffled leaves are also ideal for lettuce wraps, sandwich layering, and burger toppings. The flavour is mild enough to pair with any dressing.
