Mabel Brewing is a small-batch kombucha company rooted in family, fermentation, and the beauty of British Columbia. Founded in Kamloops in 2021 by Kevin and Kimberly, the brand draws its name from Mabel Lake — a cherished family property on the BC lakefront that has been a gathering place for generations, a place of shared beverages and lasting memories.

Our Story
Kevin’s path to kombucha began with a health challenge. A career paramedic who faced an injury-prompted career change, he turned to kombucha as a healthier alternative — and drew on his years of homebrewing and fermentation expertise to start experimenting in his basement. Family and friends became the first taste testers, and what began as small-scale R&D quickly found its footing.
Mabel Brewing launched at the Kamloops Regional Farmers’ Market in spring 2022, where strong community demand made it clear this was something special. The brand has since grown from a shared kitchen space provided by the Kamloops Food Policy Council into its own dedicated production facility.
