Essential Toothpaste is a Vancouver-based brand on a mission to eliminate plastic from your daily routine — one toothpaste tablet at a time. Founded by Mark, an avid snowboarder who saw firsthand how plastic pollution threatened the landscapes he loved, Essential was built on the belief that business can be done differently: with clean ingredients, zero-waste packaging, and genuine social responsibility at its core.
Our Story
After years working for large corporations where profit came before purpose, Mark set out to create something better. He discovered toothpaste tablets — a sustainable alternative to conventional plastic tubes — and saw the potential for a product that was both adventure-friendly and genuinely effective. After testing everything on the market and finding it lacking (too chalky, no science-backed ingredients, poor flavour), he built Essential from the ground up: 13 clean, professionally tested ingredients, great taste, and packaging you can feel good about.
