How to Cope With Stress

Do you have any recommendations to help me cope with stress? My job schedule is busy and I want to make sure that I am supporting myself.

With Heart Health month upon us, this is a great time to pick some tactics to support your system and reduce the burden of stress. During busy times it is important to be mindful and take charge of your schedule. Make an effort to increase stress-busting activities as opposed to being preoccupied and letting them slide. Each day aim to do something that brings you joy. Moreover, make it a goal to devote at least 1 hour a day and a day each week to devote to rejuvenating activities or causes. Here are some ideas:

  • Exercise
  • Cook or bake
  • Book a massage
  • Explore meditation 
  • Take a bath 
  • Meet up with a friend
  • Enjoy the outdoors 
  • Take time out to read
